The family of Raymond Leduc gathered Aug. 18 to remember his life and community involvement with a donation for the local history collection and a plaque for the Raymond B. Leduc Local History Collection. Raymond Leduc served on the Putnam Public Library's Board of Directors for 28 years as well as serving on the Putnam Board of Education for 16. Priscilla Colwell, library director, and Anne Lamondy, board chair, accepted the plaque and monetary donation with appreciation for all of the time and energy Raymond had given to the Library during his life. The history of Putnam and the surrounding area is an interesting topic for researchers, and this fund will ensure that the resources exist to purchase them.
