PLAINFIELD ---  Putnam Bank acknowledged the 10th anniversary of its Plainfield branch on Aug. 19 with a celebratory event to thank the community and highlight the many banking products and services offered at Putnam Bank.  WINY radio was there with a live broadcast of the celebration.  The community was treated to free ice cream and giveaways courtesy of Putnam Bank.  The event was well attended and guests included Plainfield First Selectman First Selectman Paul E. Sweet and Plainfield Police Department Chief of Police Robert J. Hoffman.
“Putnam Bank is proud of our 10 years of serving the Plainfield Community,” said Thomas A. Borner, chairman and CEO of Putnam Bank. “At a time when we hear about other banks struggling, Putnam Bank can point to our overall tradition of 148 years of strength and stability as we acknowledge and celebrate the past decade of outstanding community bank service at our Plainfield branch in particular.”
“We’re happy to have many of our Plainfield customers join us in our celebration. We are proud to be part of the local community and we are committed to local community banking,“  said Plainfield branch manager Carrie Szymanski. “We thank them for choosing Putnam Bank for their banking needs over the past 10 years.”
