This is the pump house at Roseland Cottage in 2007. Putnam Town Crier file photos.

& Now
The pump house is being rehabilitated by Historic New England’s carpentry crew. The project includes the replacement of the wooden roof shingles and interior floor, as well as repairs to the exterior cladding and trim.  In keeping with Historic New England’s preservation philosophy, all replacements will be done using in-kind materials.  For example, Western Red Cedar shingles will be used on the roof and the existing coursing and woven hip cap design will be retained.
