Dr. Gregory Hackett,
veterinarian
WOODSTOCK — Dr. Gregory Thomas Hackett, 60, died Sept. 24, 2010, at home following a fight with cancer.
Born May 25, 1950, Greg was the eldest son of the late Thomas and Virginia Hackett of Twin Falls, Idaho.
He grew up in Twin Falls with eight siblings and attended Washington State University, where he earned his degree as a doctor of veterinary medicine in 1976.
He managed his own veterinary practice in Woodstock for nearly 30 years and was active in the community as a director of the Woodstock Fair.
Greg’s appreciation for agriculture was reflected in his favorite hobbies, which included cultivating an impressive vegetable garden, managing his small farm, and, more recently, harvesting honey from his own bee hives.
He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and enjoyed traveling.
He leaves his wife Barbara of Woodstock; daughter, Megan Hackett of Richmond, Va; daughter and son-in-law Kelly and Keegan Coderre of Newmarket, N.H.; his son and daughter-in-law Tom and Stephanie Hackett of Greenwood, S.C. and their daughter - Greg’s only grandchild – Caitlyn Grace Hackett; siblings, nieces, and nephews.
A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held at 11 a.m. Oct. 2 at the East Woodstock Congregational Church, E. Woodstock.

Linda F. Blais,

BENTON, Ky. — Linda F. Blais, 63, of Benton died Aug. 31, 2010, at home.
She was born Feb. 15, 1947, in Beverly, Mass., to the late William H. and Mary McGilvery Barnes.
She was the sister of Richard Barnes of Brooklyn and the late William Barnes.
She leaves her daughter, Joann Fisher of Smithfield, R.I.; four sons, David Blais, Gene Blais, both of Putnam, Robert Blais of Thompson, and Joseph Gilmore of Jenson Beach, Fla.; a granddaughter.
The calling hours were Sept. 26 at Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove St., Putnam.
Gerard H. Gosselin,

WOODSTOCK — Gerard Harvey Gosselin, 85, died Sept. 22, 2010, at home. He was born on March 8, 1925, son of the late Henry Gosselin and Dorilla (Varieur) Gosselin Hebert. He was the husband of the late Beatrice (Giguere) Gosselin, who died June 19, 1997.
Mr. Gosselin was a Marine Corps veteran who served during WWII. He worked at Hale Manufacturing Company in Putnam for 40 years. He was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Dayville.
He leaves three sons, Roger H. Gosselin (Pam) of Dayville, Gary A. Gosselin of Woodstock and Brian G. Gosselin (Suzanne) of E. Killingly; two sisters, Jeannette Warren and Lucille Desaulnier; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.

Agnes Paproch,

DUDLEY — Agnes R. “Cioci” Paproch, 93, formerly of Joshua Place, died Sept. 19, 2010, in Lanessa Extended Care, Webster.
She was born in Webster, a daughter of Joseph and Joanna (Huda) Paproch and lived in the Webster-Dudley area all her life.
Miss Paproch worked at Sandlerette Shoe Company in Webster.
She was then a housekeeper at Webster Manor Nursing Home in Webster for 16 years, retiring in 1983.
She was a member of St. Andrew Bobola Church and the Holy Rosary Sodality of St. Joseph Basilica in Webster.
She leaves her godchild, Patricia A. (Jarosz) Bachand of Woodstock; two nephews, Edward J. Jarosz of Dudley and John Wieloch of Webster; She was predeceased by a brother and three sisters.

Raymond E. Wishart,

BROOKLYN— Raymond Eldon Wishart of Brooklyn died Sept. 23, 2010, at home.
He was born April 26, 1926, in Fall River, Mass., son of the late Clarence and Marion (Rigby) Wishart. He was a graduate of North Augusta S.C. High School and Southeastern Mass University. Off-Track Betting in Dayville was his last employment.
He served in Germany in the Army’s 104th Infantry 415 Battalion Company E, the Timberwolves. He was the recipient of the Bronze Star.
He leaves his wife Mary (Miller) Wishart; son, Raymond E. Wishart Jr. (Rhonda) of Pomfret; daughter, Peggy Diane Wishart of Maine; granddaughters, MaryBeth and Melissa Wishart; sister, Carol Anderson of South Caroline.
