DANIELSON --- One-hundred forty four golfers and much work resulted in the QVCC Foundation raising $59,000 in support of its mission at its 18th annual fund-raiser Quinebaug Valley Community College golf tournament.
The funds are used to provide residents of northeastern Connecticut with the opportunity to attend QVCC regardless of income, and to support educational excellence, technological advancement, and professional development at the college.
In first place was: Steve Townsend, Don St. Onge, Bob Tetreault, and Earl Semmelrock.
The 2010 Golf Committee: includes: Tom Harney, chair; Jeff Bousquet, Mary Jane Burke, George Lakatzis, John Miller, Rene Morin ('74), Christian Sarantopoulos and Monique Wolanin.
