to Putnam Lions
Dog Walk total
PUTNAM --- The Brooklyn Cares program donated $1,000 to the total collected by the Putnam Lions recent Dog Walk in support of NEADS Canines for Combat Veterans, bringing the total collected to $2,600.
Brooklyn Cares is a fund that is part of a snack bar program run by the Brooklyn Correctional Institution. Donations are given to charities and nonprofit groups.
The Lions' second annual Dog Walk was held Sept. 25 in Rotary Park.
Stu Neal of the Lions said the walk also helps increase awareness for the NEADS program and the needs of our wounder veterans.
