Health Program
DAYVILLE --- Westview Health Care Center will host a community health education program called “An Ounce of Prevention: Plans for Healthy Aging” at 6 p.m. at Westview Health Care Center on Ware Road in the formal dining room. Puppetry Exhibit
STORRS --- The Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry will present two exhibits, "Punch and Judy: Handpuppets, Politics and Humor," and "Frank and Elizabeth Haines: An American Puppet Theater in the 1930s," through Dec. 19 at the UConn campus.  www.bimp.uconn.edu.

Clean Up
WOODSTOCK --- Roseland Cottage staff and volunteers will put the formal parterre garden at Roseland Cottage to bed for the season from 10 a.m. to noon. The fall garden clean-up will include pulling up annuals and thinning perennials.   Volunteers are welcome to take the pulled and thinned plants home to brighten up their interiors during the winter or add something new to their garden bed. Corn Maze
POMFRET --- The Pomfret Recreation Department's Corn Maze, "Mezmer Eyes," is open from noon to 6 p.m. through Oct. 30. Fright Nights are Oct. 29 and 30. The maze is near the town's recreation field off Rt. 97. Benefits the PCS 8th grade class.

Passport Fund-raiser
WOODSTOCK --- The Woodstock Academy Project Graduation 2011 will hold a fund-raiser Passport Acceptance Day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Woodstock Post Office across from Sweet Evalina's. Concert
WOODSTOCK --- The Woodstock Historical Society will host a concert by Maria  Sangiolo   at 7 p.m. at the Palmer Memorial Hall.
