PUTNAM --- The third annual Heart of Rock & Roll event drew a crowd of almost 200 and raised $7,800. These funds will be used to purchase a new multi-station weight training machine for Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation patients at Day Kimball Hospital.
“We are extremely grateful to the Great Garage Band Reunion, Chef Frank Cameron and crew, and Allen Hill Tree Farm for making this event possible,” said Carol Artiaco, RN, clinical coordinator of Day Kimball’s Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation department. “The fund-raiser is a great benefit to our patients and to improving their health. Patients of all ages participate in weight training as part of their program in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation and they appreciate new equipment very much.”
The event was sponsored by Putnam Bank, Gerardi Insurance, Northeast Connecticut Cardiology Services and Hawes Construction. Additional supporters include Gary Osbrey/WINY, Ed Artiaco, East Brooklyn Fire Department, Central Coffee Company and more.
