DANIELSON ---  Enrollment has hit another record at Quinebaug Valley Community College with 2,228 students enrolled at the Danielson campus and Willimantic Center for the fall semester. This represents an 8.4 percent growth in enrollment since last fall.
Sixty-seven percent attend part time. QVCC President Ross Tomlin, Ph.D., said, “I am thrilled that QVCC continues to see its enrollment increase with this fall producing the highest number of credit students in the 39-year history of the college.”
There are 2,228 total credit students; 783 full-time students; 1,505 part-time students. New students total 576. The average age of the students is 22 for full-time students and 30 for part-time students. The most popular degree programs are: General Studies, liberal Arts & Sciences, Medical Assisting and Business Accounting and Management. The highest enrollments by sending town are: Windhan, 392; Killingly, 355; Plainfield, 224; Putnam, 176; Thompson, 168; Brooklyn, 161 and Woodstock, 141.
