WOODSTOCK --- The Woodstock Middle School boys'  soccer team finish another undefeated season with a 12-0-1 record with a 5-1 victory over the Killingly.
The eighth grade boys finish their soccer tenure with a 31-1-2 record accomplishing  three regular season titles  and two tournament championships. The team was lead by the goaltending of Lucas Hoffower, Jonathan Hummer and Alex Frankhauser who had the lowest goal against average in the Tournament.
The defense was a major contributor to this successful season as well led by the sweeper Roger Stohlberg and stopper Austin Beaupre with contributions from Ethan Hellwig, Patrick Houlihan, Will Liscomb and Jeremy Roy. The midfield and forward were led by Adam Converse, Cameron Hartland, KC O’Hara, Luke Blodget, Bailey Napierata and Justin Bouten  with additional scoring coming from Adam Trudeau, David Redfield, and Kyle Pouty. I
It really was a total team effort throughout the season with more than half the boys scoring a goal and with every player on the team playing in every game making contribution on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. Coach Jay Wildgoose said he was proud of the boys' accomplishments  both on and off the field as three of the player achieved student of the month awards in October. He added he looks forward to next year with enthusiasm as 12 member of the team will be returning.
