'Sumo' Fund-raising
Students in the Marianapolis Haiti Club came up with an enterprising idea: Have faculty wrestle in cumbersome sumo wrestling costumes, charge spectators $3 a head, and raise money for the needy in Haiti. Six teachers took part and raised $800 for the cause. Athletic trainer Buddy Drew won.  Flanked by members of the Haiti Club are IT's Rob Rawcliffe at left, and winner Drew; center are organizers Ryan Werge (referee) and Jason Tata, with club adviser and school CFO Doug Daniels in the foreground. Last year the school donated $5,000 towards a medical clinic being built by Gardner, MA-based Forward in Health. Courtesy photo.
