The following REGULATIONS are hereby adopted by the Town of Putnam Special Services District Authority:
1. REGULATION ON OPEN BURNING
2. REGULATION ON FALSE FIRE ALARM/NUISANCE ALARM.
Regulations are available for public inspection at the offices of the Putnam Town Clerk and the Putnam Special Services District Clerk, 126 Church Street, Putnam, CT 06260, and on the Putnam Police Department's Web Page at www.putnampolice.com
The regulations shall become effective 10 days after passage and legal publication.
Adopted by the Putnam Special Services District Authority this 13th day of December, 2010.

Meeting
December 30, 2010
The legal voters and citizens qualified to vote in Town Meeting of the Town of Pomfret are hereby warned to meet at the Pomfret Community School Cafeteria, Pomfret, Connecticut on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. to act upon the following articles:
Article 1: To choose a Moderator for said meeting.
Article 2: To see if the Town will approve the question:  “Should the electorate vote for three selectmen; a first selectman and two selectmen?” Whereby an affirmative vote shall direct the Board of Selectmen to create and present an ordinance for adoption to permit full voting for the Board of Selectmen under Section 9-188 of Connecticut General Statute and P.A. 83-475, as presented by petition and received at the office of the Pomfret Town Clerk on December 13, 2010. 
Article 3: To do any other business proper to come before said meeting.
In absence of rejection by the Town Meeting, Article 2 will be voted on by paper ballot.
Legal voters and citizens qualified to vote by Town Meeting will be checked upon entering the Town Meeting.  Please bring identification for the check-in process.  Those qualified to  vote will be issued one paper ballot for Article 2.  The paper ballots will be printed as follows:
Article 2: YES ___ NO ___
Voters approving said question will vote “YES” and those opposing said question will vote “NO”

The Town of Putnam Inland Wetland Commission held a meeting on Wednesday December 8, 2010, at 7:00 P.M at the Putnam Middle School Library/Media Center located at 35 Wicker Street, Putnam,  CT  06260.
The following public hearings were rescheduled to January 12, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. at the same location as listed above.
Pursuant to the Memorandum of Decision in Docket No.:  WWM-CV-07-4005682S, Unistar Properties, LLC. Vs. The Town of Putnam Inland Wetlands Commission, et al.
This Public Hearing has been scheduled pursuant to that portion of the Court’s conclusion which reads as follows: “The matter is remanded to the Putnam Inland Wetlands Commission for the purpose of reviewing an Inventory which is in complete compliance with their regulation.”
The original Public Hearing Notice contained the following information:
Application # 2007-01:  Unistar Properties, LLC — Request for 33-lot subdivision to include the construction of a roadway and cul-de-sac to provide access to the proposed lots. The property located at 71 Five Mile River Road & 59 Old Moffitt Road. Town Assessor’s Map 111, Lots 12 and 21. Zoned R-40 and consisting of 62.13 acres, be the same more or less.

Legal Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the Town and Fire District of Pomfret that the Supplemental Motor Vehicle and Second Installment of Real Estate and Personal Property tax bills on the Grand List of October 1, 2009 are DUE AND PAYABLE January 1, 2011.  The last day to pay without penalty is February 1, 2011.  Interest will be charged at 18% annually (1.5% per month) on all delinquent payments postmarked February 2, 2011 or later.

Make all checks payable to Pomfret Tax Collector.  Mail payments to Tax Collector at P. O. Box 286, Pomfret Center, CT 06259.  If a receipt is desired, please enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope.  For more information or to pay online, go to www.pomfretct.org. 

The Tax Office is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Wednesday 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  The Town Hall will be closed January 1, 2011 and January 17, 2011.
