WOODSTOCK --- As the new year begins the staff at Roseland Cottage extended a warm thank you to all its community volunteers.
Local volunteers have assisted with the operation of Roseland Cottage since it open its doors as a museum 40 years ago.  This year was no different.  Forty-nine individuals from around the area assisted with everything from giving museum tours and programs, to assisting in the visitor center and getting their hands dirty in the maintenance of the formal parterre garden.
Combined, their efforts totaled more than 1,100 hours of service in 2010.  It is undeniable that Roseland Cottage volunteers are an integral part of keeping the museum open as a testament to local and national history.
To all Roseland Cottage volunteers, from the ones that joined the volunteer corps this year to the individuals that have been donating their time for more than 20 years, thank you!
