The Putnam Science Academy boys’ basketball team had an impressive 3-0 week as they move to 12-4. The Mustangs picked up their first win of the week in Putnam with an 85-68 win over Leadership Prep in the second meeting between the schools this season.
PSA led 18-4 to start the game and that sparked the Mustangs to take a 43-24 lead into the locker room. 
Desmond Williams led the Mustangs with 33 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals.  Anthony Henry added 23 points and 3 assists as PSA had control the entire game with the final being 85-68.
PSA moved to 11-4 on the season with an 86-69 win over the Hyde School in game two of the three-game week. The Mustangs shot 65% in the first 16 minutes, scoring 49 first half points in the win.
Williams led the scoring attack with 25 points and four assists, while freshman Tyree Robinson scored 20 points and added 4 blocks. Senior Henry scored 14, while pulling down a 6 rebounds and giving out 6 assists.
The Mustangs won its third straight game of the week with an exciting 69-65 win over Kimball Union Academy (N.H.) in front of a sold-out crowd.
PSA and Kimball Union battled all night long with the Mustangs leading must of the game. But Kimball Union chipped away, cutting the lead to 2 after a 7-0 run, making it a 67-65 game at the 0:10 mark. PSA got the ball to 6-foot, 9-inch Wilson Arob after a crazy play with the ball bouncing around to seal the victory as Arob slammed it home as time ran out.
Williams led all scorers with 20 points on 8 of 20 shooting, while also dishing out 5 assists and earning 5 steals. Anthony Henry added 19 points and freshman Robinson added 11 points, 13 rebounds and 3 steals.
Mustangs are playing well at the right time of the year and are now 12-4 on the season.  PSA travels north next to play three New Hampshire teams.
