DAYVILLE --- “What a celebration it was,” said “MaTante” Adrienne Coderre. “Just turning 104 has been a big to-do.”
Feb. 13,  approximately 40 of Miss Adrienne Coderre’s family and friends gathered in the formal dining room to celebrate her 104th birthday at Westview Health Care Center, where the centenarian has lived since 2007.  To round out her birthday week, Miss. Coderre was visited by Representative Mae Flexer of the 44th District, Danny Rovero of the 51st District and State Senator Donald E. Williams Jr. of the 29th District. They presented Miss Coderre with a Citation to celebrate her birthday and a life well lived.
Adrienne Coderre was born on Feb. 18, 1907, as one of 13 children, to Philippe and Amanda Coderre, and lived in N. Grosvenordale all of her life. As an adult, she worked as a clerk at the North Grosvenordale Post Office for 23 years, and was known to be an honest and hardworking individual.
