The Performing Arts of Northeast Connecticut recently concluded their season with a musical adventure featuring SteveSongs and local students took part in the show.
SteveSongs opened  with the Pomfret Community School’s choir, the Morning Doves, singing Do RE ME. Under the direction of Monica Michaud, 50 singers from third to fifth grade rocked the audience with Steve and his band. They also concluded the concert on stage singing Water Cycle with Steve. The upcoming free performances in April include the Boston Lyric Opera’s performances of Hansel & Gretel at the Mansfield Middle School on April 27 and at the Hyde Cultural Center on April 28. These fully staged, one-hour performances take place for local fifth graders. On May 4, the 55-piece New Haven Symphony Orchestra will present performances of Peter and the Wolf  for third graders. All student programs are made possible by donations that help support these educational programs and the cultural well-being of the entire community.
