WOODSTOCK --- Broadway Live Productions will present a musical spectacular at 8 p.m. Aug. 12 and 13 at The Hyde Cultural Center to benefit Day Kimball Healthcare’s Deary Memorial Cancer Fund and Habitat for Humanity of Northeast Connecticut.
DIVAS in Concert will feature fourteen talented female performers backed by an orchestra comprised of members of the Hartford Symphony. Local DKH physician Erica Kesselman will serve as mistress of ceremonies. Performers include Donna Bessette, Maureen Boyd, Tonya Brock, Linda Colangelo, Mackenzie Deary, Suzanne Easterly, Allison Kutschker, Donna LaHaie, Dale Magnuson, Brenda Pontbriand, Kathy Radel, Amy Ranta, Alison Stewart and Val Voccio. The project is spearheaded by Director David T. Panteleakos, owner of Broadway Live Productions. “We’re proud to lend a creative hand when it comes to helping others,” said Panteleakos. Since its inception BLP, has raised over $400,000 to benefit local charities.
DIVAS in Concert is written by Linda J. Colangelo and produced by Laura Crosetti. Sponsorships will off-set the operational costs of the production with a goal to donate 100 percent of the ticket proceeds to the beneficiaries. Tickets are $20 and go on sale May 1 at Putnam Bank, DKH Development Office, Wonderland Books, Victoria Station Café, WINY Radio and Danielson Surplus Sales.
