Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Stuart C. MacGillivray, son of Virginia C. Shumaker of Rayne, La., and Stuart C. MacGillivray Sr of Woodstock, is currently deployed. MacGillivray along with fellow Sailors and Marines aboard the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CVN 65) commemorated the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Midway with a ceremony, a fitting tribute given the ship's close ties to the battle. Gillivray is a 1995 graduate of South High School of Worcester, and joined the Navy in February 2003.
