PUTNAM — The Theatre of Northeastern Connecticut at the Bradley Playhouse on Front Street will present the third biennial Blockbuster Playwright Festival at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 26 and 27 and at 2 p.m. Oct. 28.
All tickets are $11. Reservations may be made with a major credit card online at www.thebradleyplayhouse.org or by calling 928-7887. Tickets are available at Wonderland Books and Victoria Station CafĂ©. Tickets will also be available at the door. All seating is general admission. The plays are for a mature audience and parental discretion is advised. This year’s Playwright Festival will feature six one-act plays chosen from over 30 entries from across the U.S. The featured plays include “Anniversary Gift” written by Micheal John Bohane of Leesburg, Va., “Moonlight” by Nicole Panteleakos of Plainfield, “Hooking Up” from John Franceschini of Irvine, Calif., “Strange Bedfellows” by Peggy Dougherty of San Diego, Calif., “Forgive is a 14 Point Word” by John Donnelly of Portland, Org., and “Love in the Fast Lane” by George Bryjak from Bloomingdale, N.Y.  The six one-act plays are a combination of lighthearted comedy and light drama.Local playwright Panteleakos’ “Moonlight,” directed by Jennifer Magrey, is a “slice of life” drama. The fest executive director is Nick Magrey.
