POMFRET --- The Pomfret Recreation Dept. is offering several programs.
A family ice skating program: Season Passes are now available for in town and out of town residents. Skating is most Saturday and Sunday evenings starting Nov. 17 at the Jahn Rink at Pomfret School (indoor skating).
Family Fun Night at the Ice Rink: From 6 to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 16 at the Jahn Ice Rink in Pomfret. Adults: $4; Children 12 and under: $3 each. This program is open residents in all towns. Skate to Holiday music, ice skating instructors on hand to lead fun games on the ice (with prizes). Refreshments and Santa Claus will stop by for a visit!
Interactive Hoop Dancing Class: From 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursdays from Jan. 3 to Feb. 14 in the PCS cafeteria. Taught by Judi Jones. Ages 15 and up. $40 pp --- open to entire area.
Pomfret Pollywog Basketball:
For boys and girls in grades 1 and 2 starts at 2:30 p.m. Jan. 5 in the PCS gym.
Friday Night Basketball:
For boys and girls: Grades 3 & 4 (6:30 to 7:30 p.m.); Grades 5 & 6 (7:30 to 8:30 p.m.) in the PCS gym 11/9, 11/16, 12/7, 12/14, 12/21, ¼, 11/11 1/18, & 1/25/13
