Parents and fans of Tourtellotte Memorial High School, Killingly, Plainfield and Woodstock Academy now have the advantage of knowing the latest sports news about their athletic teams thanks to the recently unveiled Eastern Connecticut Conference website www.eccathletics.org.
The website unveiling took place at the Sydney E. Frank Center Ensemble Room on the campus of Norwich Free Academy Nov. 16.  Principals and athletic directors were invited to the unveiling and also had the opportunity to meet the league’s corporate sponsors.  The new website was designed by the league’s ADs and the ECC’s official marketing affiliate Fat Cats Events & Marketing of Putnam, owned and operated by CEO Christopher P. Coderre.
The site is interactive and will include features such as athlete blogs, an “Athlete of the Month” feature, athletic/health related articles, the latest news, scores and standings.  Tournament brackets and more information will also be available.
Corporate sponsors who have chosen to partner with the 18-team conference include CorePlus Federal Credit Union headquartered in Norwich, Norwich Orthopedic Group, Lawrence & Memorial Hospital of New London and the Byrnes Agency of Dayville, Woodstock and Norwich.
“Our new website and social media presence puts us into the 21st century technology-wise and makes us a user friendly organization for fans of the ECC.  Together with our corporate partners we will now be able to offer the best athletic opportunities to all our student-athletes at our 18-member schools,” said ECC Advisory Board Chair and Plainfield High School Athletic Director Jan Voland.
