PUTNAM — Day Kimball Hospital has been recognized as one of the 153 “Great Community Hospitals” by Becker’s Hospital Review. This prestigious accolade highlights DKH’s ongoing commitment to providing exceptional patient care in northeastern Connecticut.
Each year, Becker’s Hospital Review, a leading healthcare publication, compiles a list of exceptional community hospitals that have demonstrated excellence in various categories, including patient outcomes, safety, and quality of care. DKH earned its place among the nation’s best community hospitals by continually exceeding expectations in these areas.
“Day Kimball plays an essential role in our community in so many ways. DKH provides clinical services that meet the needs of our area’s diverse patient population as well as the region’s many businesses that rely on access to quality care for their employees. And as the largest employer in the area, Day Kimball is an economic asset. Day Kimball and this community are one, and I was pleased to nominate DKH for this recognition,” said Putnam Mayor Barney Seney.
“We are honored to be recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review as one of the ‘153 Great Community Hospitals’,” said Kyle Kramer, CEO, DKH. “This recognition is a testament to the extraordinary efforts of our dedicated staff and the strong ties we have with our community. We remain committed to delivering the highest standards of care to our patients throughout the region. Being recognized by Becker’s, Leapfrog, and CMS is testimony to the fact that our team is focused on the best interest of patients in our region. We are proud to serve Northeast Connecticut, and this recognition along with the others truly belongs to the outstanding members of our team.
“From skilled medical professionals to compassionate support staff, DKH’s unwavering commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services, along with its emphasis on patient-centered care, are just a few of the benchmarks that made this achievement possible,” Kramer said.
