Fourth-ranked Putnam Science Mustangs are rolling
BRIMMER & MAY 76; #4 PUTNAM SCIENCE 95
STOUGHTON, Mass.---- Putnam Science cruised by Brimmer & May Sunday afternoon at the Zero Gravity Showcase 95-76. Parrish Edmond led the Mustangs with 12 points and 2 rebounds and Warren Keel added 11 points and 3 rebounds in the win. Jaeden Roberts (3 assists & 2 steals) and Brayson Green (5 rebounds & 2 steals) each scored 10 points apiece for PSA who improved to 13-2 on the season. Abdou Yadd chipped in 5 points and a game high 11 rebounds.
RIDLEY PREP 64; #4 PUTNAM SCIENCE 104
PUTNAM— Nico Pena hit 6 three pointers and finished with 18 points and dished out 3 assists to lead the #4 ranked Mustangs to a 104-64 win over Ridley Prep (Canada). Tony Williams had 14 points, 5 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 steals and Brayson Green had 12 points, 10 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 assists for the Mustangs (14-2). Jamell Hatchett (4 assists) and Ben Ahmed each scored 10 points apiece for PSA.
NEWMAN 55; PUTNAM SCIENCE 56
MARION, Mass. — The Putnam Science Lady Mustangs pulled out a huge win over the Newman School at the Girls Hoop Series showcase. Athena Thompson led PSA with 17 points, 5 rebounds, 5 steals and 4 assists. Rachel Lynch added 11 points and 4 rebounds and Tacko Sky (3 rebounds), Vara Utina (3 assists) and Helin Yoztyurk (6 rebounds & 5 assists) all scored 6 points each in the win. Tatiana Bell chipped in with a game-high 9 rebounds.
EAST CATHOLIC 32; PSA VARSITY GIRLS 70
PUTNAM — Lehelie Leyde Joseph-Lockel led the Lady Mustangs Tuesday night with 19 points, 5 assists, 5 steals and 4 rebounds in a big win at home over East Catholic 70-32. Vega Larru (5 steals & 4 assists) and Defne Mamcu (5 rebounds & 3 steals) each scored 9 points apiece in the win. Nina Stanojevic added 8 points, 6 assists and 3 rebounds for PSA who improved to 4-2 on the season.
EAST CATHOLIC 34; PSA VARSITY GIRLS 82
PUTNAM —The Putnam Science Prep Girls won big Tuesday night 82-34 over East Catholic at home. Tatiana Bell had a big game with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 steals and Athena Thompson added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 2 steals in the win. Valentina Vrcan chipped in with 11 points and Isil Koksel added 8 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds and 3 steals for PSA who improved to 8-3 on the season.
NEWMAN SCHOOL 94; PSA ELITE 103
PUTNAM, CT- Lazarus Mason led the Mustangs to a revenge win over the Newman School 103-94, who gave them their only loss last month. Mason scored 36 points and added 3 assists and Octavius Wheeler was huge in the win as well, scoring 26 points and adding 10 assists. Dominick LaDuca added 10 points and Jacob Wang chipped in with 8 points. The Putnam Science Elite team moves to 11-1 on the season.
PSA VARSITY 53; SOUTHBRIDGE 44
SOUTHBRIDGE — Putnam Science Varsity Boys went on the road to take on Southbridge High Tuesday afternoon and came home with a nice win 53-44. KJ Stycr led the Mustangs with 11 points, 3 assists and 3 steals and Jason Wang had 9 points and 5 rebounds. Giulio Carofiglio added 8 points and 5 rebounds in the win. PSA is now 7-2 on the season and plays again today at MacDuffie School starting at 3:30.
WOODSTOCK SELECT 69; PSA VARSITY 61
PUTNAM —The Putnam Science Varsity Boys lost Thursday afternoon at home vs Woodstock Select 69-61. TJ Espinosa led the Mustangs with 24 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists and Giulio Carofiglio had 12 points and 8 rebounds. KJ Stcyr chipped in with 9 points and 3 steals and Stanislaw Nowakowski had 8 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks in the loss. PSA Varsity Boys’ fall to 7-3 on the season.
