ELON, N.C. — Morgan Elizabeth Bassett has been named to the President’s List for the 2019 fall semester at Elon University. The President’s List is composed of students with no grade below an A-minus in a minimum of 12 semester hours. Bassett is the daughter of John D. Bassett of Pomfret Center and Kandyse Bassett of Pomfret Center.

Lions induct 4
PUTNAM — The Putnam Lions recently inducted four new members.
Patricia Faucher, Debra Rajaniemi, Mikayla Van Dam and Erin Van Dam were welcomed into the Putnam Lions Club in a ceremony led by Lion Greg King. The new members were presented for membership by their sponsors, Lions Steve Faucher, Al Cormier and Barbara Chubbuck. During the ceremony they were given a history of the club and they were welcomed into the world’s largest and most active service club organization.
The Putnam Lions Club meets at 7 p.m. the first Thursday and third Wednesday of the month at The Crossings Restaurant and Brew Pub.

Croteau honored
at Putnam Bank
Kathy Croteau was named Putnam Bank’s Employee of the Month for December 2019. Croteau has been with the bank since September 2013, and currently serves as branch manager of the Plainfield Office.
Kathy said, “I am so honored to be chosen for this award. I work with an awesome group of people here at Putnam Bank who all come together to support our local community.”
Kathy is on the board of directors for Habitat for Humanity of Eastern CT, and is part of both the Greater Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce and the Northeastern CT Chamber of Commerce. She enjoys weaving, visiting Vermont, gardening and spending time with her husband and three boys.
