Eagle Scout
Daniel Kellaway, a senior student at Pomfret School and a resident of Pomfret, was honored and awarded the rank of Eagle Scout at the Pomfret School Chapel Sept. 9. With approximately 100 family members and friends in attendance, the master of ceremonies was his brother James D. Kellaway, with remarks made by Daniel’s family members including Genevieve Kellaway (mother) and Molly Kellaway (sister), co-scout members, Scout leaders and prayers offered by his father Rev. James L. Kellaway and Rev. John Van Siclen. With over 10 years of preparation for this achievement, Daniel coordinated a Senior’s Prom for local seniors at the Pomfret Senior Center as his Eagle project. Courtesy photo.
