2-car accident
PUTNAM — A 17-year-old juvenile was cited for failure to obey a stop sign after an accident June 13 at the intersection of Maynard Street and Battey Street in Putnam.
The Putnam Police Department said the driver of a 2008 Nissan Altima was traveling east on Battey Street, failed to make a complete stop at the intersection and struck a 2016 Jeep Compass traveling on north on Maynard Street.
Two of the four occupants of the Jeep were taken to Day Kimball Hospital for treatment, one occupant on a precautionary basis and the other for minor injuries. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were towed from the scene.
