PUTNAM --- “A 70-year Retrospective: The Works of Jerry Ferguson” will appear in the Corridor Gallery at Putnam Municipal Complex through June 30. It features the works of Gerald (Jerry) Ferguson. Free.

POMFRET --- The Connecticut Audubon Society at Pomfret will present an exhibit and sale by David Stumpo, artist and wildlife painter, through May 31. Fine art prints and cards are also available.

Pomfret Parade
POMFRET The Town of Pomfret will start its Memorial Day Parade at 10 a.m. It kicks off at the Pomfret Congregational Church and proceeds down Pomfret Street/Rt. 44 to the Town Green where a short ceremony will take place.
Putnam Parade
PUTNAM --- The town’s Memorial Day Parade will start at 10 a.m. from the traditional Grove Street staging area. The parade will be followed by a program at Rotary Park.
Eastford Parade
EASTFORD --- Parade starts at 9:30 a.m. at the Eastford Elementary School. Immediately following the parade, a Memorial Day Ceremony will take place at the Veteran's Memorial. Preceding the parade, Memorial Day services will take place at the General Lyon Cemetery at 8:30 a.m. and the Grove Cemetery at 9 a.m. In the event of rain, the parade will be cancelled and the Memorial Day Ceremony will be held at 9:30 a.m. in the school. All are welcome to attend.
Woodstock Events
WOODSTOCK --- The Woodstock Road Race will begin at 9 a.m. at Woodstock Academy and the Woodstock Memorial Day Parade will begin at 11:30 from Woodstock Hill.

'Nuts'
PUTNAM --- The Theatre of Northeastern Connecticut at the Bradley Playhouse will present Nuts at 7:30 p.m. June 2, 3, 9, and 10 and at 2 p.m. June 4 and 11. Tickets are $23 for adults; $20 for seniors, students, veterans and first responders. Mature audiences. Reservations: www.thebradleyplayhouse.org.
Nonperishables Needed
bankHometown will be collecting food donations at all its Connecticut branches starting today June 2. This drive will support Veteran’s Base Camp in Chaplin, an organization that provides transitional housing for veterans in need, as well as a food pantry for local veterans. Nonperishable items needed include local store/grocery store gift cards; gas gift cards for food bank pickups; condiments, baking supplies and sugar substitutes; pasta, tuna peanut butter; jelly; macaroni and cheese; toilet paper; paper towels; baby wipes and diapers; and pet food.

WOODSTOCK --- Ferncroft Wildlife Rescue on Rt. 171 will open its doors to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and its resident opossums will be ready to meet and greet you. Programs throughout the day. A donation of $10 per person age 9 and over is suggested. Preregistration is required because of limited parking space.
