Alfred Marando,
Navy veteran
BROOKLYN — Alfred Marando, 86 of Brooklyn, died June 5, 2016, after a brief illness. He was the husband of Clara (Sears) Marando. They were married April 10, 1963, at the Attawaugan Methodist Church. He was born Dec. 17, 1929, in Sutton, Mass., son of Joseph and Aldea (Bertrand) Marando.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1947-1950 and was honorably discharged as Yeoman Seaman. He worked for factories in Sutton and Killingly until he opened AL’s Plaza Restaurant in 1969. In 1976 he built and moved to AL’s II Restaurant & Lounge. He sold the restaurant in 1985. He loved to travel with his wife and spend time with his family.
In addition to his wife Clara, he leaves his children Chris Dauphinais (Brian) of Brooklyn, Joe Roireau of South Elgin, Ill., Debbie Goulart of Brooklyn, Denise Graff of Danielson, Alfred Marando of Auburn, Susan Kahn of Bradenton, Fla., and Deborah Babb of Bradenton; 18 grandchildren: Zachary, Benjamin, Chelsea, Samuel, Jack, Chili, Eva, Tanya, Jeremy, Amy, Nicole, Edward, Melissa, Heather, Brett, Dina, Jessica and Erica; and 13 great –grandchildren; brother Gordon Marando of Cabot, AR. He was predeceased by his siblings, Frances, Carol, Joseph and Rodney.
A Memorial Service was June 14 at Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds St., Danielson. Donations: Danielson United Methodist Church, 9 Spring St., Danielson, CT 06239.
Judith Stock (Butler)
Judith C. Stock-(Butler) died March 14, 2016.
She was born in Pennsylvania June 28, 1937, daughter of the late Herburt and Helen Davis. She moved to Connecticut in 1961 where she lied for 38 years, then moved to Florida in 1998 with her husband Terry Stock for 18 years.
She has been brought back to Connecticut by her daughter Terrie to her final resting place.
She leaves her husband Terry Stock of North Port, Fla.; four children, Terrie Whitney of Maine, Kenneth Butler Jr., Kevin Butler Sr., both of Connecticut, and Krustis Butler of Pennsylvania; five grandchildren: Thomas R. Whitney of Belfast, Maine, Shannon C. Whitney-Colcord of Monroe, Maine, Corrine M. Butler of Connecticut, Kevin Butler Jr. of Connecticut and R. Butler Brown of Florida; nine great-grandchildren; brother Larry Davis (Fran); sisters, Kathleen Davis Palmer (David), Charalett Davis Riggle; sister-in-law Evelyn Davis Calderone; brother-in-law Kenneth Barret. She was predeceased by sister Dorothy Davis-Barret, brothers Kenneth Davis Sr. and Rodney Davis and two grandsons, Terry Lee Whitney and Jason Butler.

Carl Charbonneau Jr.
N. GROSVENORDALE — Carl J. Charbonneau Jr., 56, died June 12, 2016, at the UMass- Memorial Healthcare Center, Worcester.
He was born in Putnam. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and was a volunteer at the St. Joseph School in N. Grosvenordale. He enjoyed the outdoors and doing yard work.
He leaves his parents, Carl J. Charbonneau Sr. and Carmen J. (Langelier) Charbonneau; two brothers David and his wife Pam of Thompson, Harold and his wife Melissa of Putnam; two sisters, Karen and her husband Blair Cole and Marie DeJesus, both of Thompson; nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. June 18 in St. Joseph Church, N. Grosvenordale. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date and will be announced. Donations: St. Joseph School, PO Box 137, N. Grosvenordale, CT. 06255. Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, Webster.
Michael G. Murdock
MELBOURNE BEACH, Fla. — Michael G. Murdock, 48, died suddenly May 26, 2016.
He is the husband of Sandra Deloge Murdock, father of Jacob Murdock (Ashley) of Woodstock, and Brettany Sue Murdock of Floridana Beach, Fla., as well as his grandsons Zeke and Elric of Woodstock; He also leaves his sister Laurie Murdock of Putnam; brothers Donald Murdock Jr. (Cheryl) of St. Pete, Tom Murdock (Toni) of Putnam; his dogs Cory, Hermione, and cat Elsa.
Mike grew up in Putnam but loved his last 14 years in Floridana Beach. Mike was a funny artistic smart man who played several instruments. Mike was a hard working man that his friends at MC Assembly will attest to.
A celebration of Mike’s life will be held from 4:30 to 7 p.m. June 30 at the Front St.Civic Center in Melbourne.
