WOODSTOCK — The Three C’s (Community Cultural Committee of NECT Inc.) is celebrating its 34th Season. During the 2017-2018 Season they will present shows that are educational, yet fun, at the Center for the Arts at The Woodstock Academy on Rt. 169.
Dec. 5 at 10 a.m., children in grades K – 3 will see Chicken Dance, performed by Arts Power. The show is based on a book by Tammi Sauer and Dan Santat, which received the Gold Medal from National Parenting Publications. Two music-loving chickens enter the barnyard contest, hoping to win tickets to see Elvis Poultry in concert. www.ArtsPower.org.
On March 28 grades 3 – 9 , will see history come alive through dance, dialogue and period songs in Freedom Train, the inspiring story of the Underground Railroad run by Harriet Tubman. The show is performed by Theatreworks USA.org. One of the underground stops was at Friendship Valley, here in Brooklyn.
Laughter and diversity are ingredients of the undersea story of Nugget and Fang based on Tammy Sauer’s picture book. Performed by Arts Power. Students in grades K – 3, will be delighted to see this on June 5 .
