PUTNAM — The Putnam Rotary Club Noe Poulin Fishing Derby saw a record turnout May 6.
Seventy-seven kids took part in the free derby that was held at Rotary Park. There were prizes and food
for all participants.
Winners were:
Age 5 and under (16 fishermen)– Forest Nowakoski – Sunfish .4 lbs.
Age 6 – 9 (31 fishermen) – Mason Putnam – Carp 8.7 lbs – 28 inches. This was also the biggest fish caught.
In second place in the ages 6-9 category was: Jordan Chrzanowski – Catfish 1.2 lbs.
Age 10 – 12 (16 fishermen) there was a tie: Dakota Schlough and Benjamin Kipp - .75 lbs.
Age 13 and over (14 fishermen) – Caleb Koleszar - .5 lbs.
Prizes were given to each group.
All participants received spool of fishing line donated by Woodstock Line (Putnam).
