PUTNAM --- The Town of Putnam Fireworks Display and Concert will begin with a concert by Juice Box at 7:15 p.m. at Rotary Park, followed by fireworks at 9:15/dusk. Rain date July 8.

WILLIMANTIC --- The 33rd annual WILI July 4th “Boom Box Parade begins at 11 a.m. at Jillson Square in downtown Willimantic.

PUTNAM --- The Putnam Business Association will present First Fridays --- French Canadian-American Heritage from 6 to 9 p.m. around downtown Putnam.

Statue Visits
PUTNAM --- The World Apostolate of Fatima will bring its United Nations Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima to St. Mary Church of the Visitation, from 3 to 6 p.m.  Sponsored by Putnam’s Cargill Council 64, Knights of Columbus, the program will start with a prayer service at 3  at the Putnam Deanery Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel, in the St. Mary’s Parish Center, behind the church. At 3:45 p.m., the statue will be processed into the church by Knights for the 4 p. m. Vigil Mass. Rosary follows.
