PUTNAM — As part of this season’s free events, the Town of Putnam is welcoming “Country Lovin’” al Fresco concert at 7 p.m. July 21 at Rotary Park Bandstand.
The rain date will be July 22. River Fire is from 8:30to 10 p.m.
“Country Lovin’” al Fresco 2018 is sponsored by Wheelabrator Putnam, Inc. and Putnam Bank. This will mark the 12th year of sponsorship for the town’s summer al Fresco events.
Our “Country Lovin’” performers Jilly Martin and Ryan Kelly are accomplished singers and musicians from New England. They have been active in the music world since 2014 to present day. The duo has become the next must-see act ranging from New England to Nashville. They have opened for many well-known performers such as Brad Paisley, Alabama, The Oak Ridge Boys, and The Band Perry.
Jilly Martin and Ryan Kelly will be performing notable country, modern, and traditional songs that people of all ages will be able to recognize and enjoy. They will sing some original songs that are a cross between traditional and new country. The sweet-sounding duo will win any audience over with their charm and talent. Music for River Fire will be produced by WINY 1350 am and the fueling of the fire’s will be powered by the Town of Putnam Public Works department.
“Country Lovin’” al Fresco will be accompanied by the Putnam Festival Orchestra from northeastern Connecticut. The orchestra will have 35 accomplished musicians and will be conducted by a northeastern Connecticut native, Scott Chaurette. This will make the sound of Jilly Martin and Ryan Kelly come alive and make for a really exciting performance!
Bring a lawn chair or blanket to Rotary Park on Kennedy Drive in Putnam for a night of “Country Lovin’” enjoyment!
