PUTNAM — With a score of 100 percent the Putnam Public School District’s Family Resource Center program achieved a five-year term of Accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
Superintendent of Schools, William Hull said: “We have always known that our program was outstanding. It is great to have it affirmed by the rigorous standards of a national agency. We are proud of the work that our staff does with our youngest students.”
To achieve NAEYC accreditation, preschool programs need to meet a series of standards in ten areas. These areas include curriculum, teaching, relationships, assessments of student progress, health, teacher, physical environment leadership and management along with family and community relationships.
