POMFRET — A Plainfield woman was arrested on drug charges July 17 after a traffic stop on Rt. 44 in Pomfret.
Kristy Carpenter, 40, of 36 Academy St., was charged with possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with intent to sell.
Members of the Troop D – Quality of Life Task Force stopped a rental vehicle on Route 44 in Pomfret for a motor vehicle violation and Troopers noticed several indicators of criminal activity. Police said Carpenter confessed she had narcotics on her person and turned over approximately 1,200 bags of fentanyl pre-packaged for sale that later weighed approximately 265 grams.
