OXFORD, Mass. — The board of directors of bankHometown elected Steven H. Duvarney of Lancaster as chairman of the board and Brian E. Galonek of Sturbridge as vice chairman.
Duvarney joined the board of the Athol-Clinton Co-operative Bank in April 2007 and was chairman at the time of the bank’s merger with bankHometown in 2011. He has been elected chairman of the bankHometown board of directors for a one-year term, and also will serve on the bank’s Mortgage and Asset Liability Committees.
Galonek was first appointed to the bankHometown board in 2008, and chaired the Audit/Budget Committee and the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Committee before his election to a one-year term as vice chairman. He earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the UMass Amherst Isenberg School of Management.
In addition to their positions on the bankHometown board, both Duvarney and Galonek also have served as members of the board of directors of Hometown Financial Group, the mutual holding company for bankHometown.
