As of March 16, 41 cases of coronavirus have hit Connecticut, none in Windham County.
Governor Ned Lamont announced Connecticut coronavirus response efforts:
Crowd capacity for social and recreational gatherings is now limited to 50 people.
Restaurants and bars that serve food will temporarily be required to move to non-alcholic beverages and take-out/delivery services only. Bars that do not serve food will be required to temporarily close.
Movie theaters, gyms and fitness centers, and similar public workout facilities and studios, religious gatherings will be closed. The state’s off-track betting facility will be closed. The tribal casinos will be closed for two weeks.
Drive-through testing has been approved at seven Connecticut hospitals, none in eastern Connecticut including: Bridgeport Hospital, Bristol Health, Danbury Hospital, Greenwich Hospital, Stamford Health, Waterbury Hospital and Yale-New Haven Hospital. A prescription from a doctor and an appointment in advance are required.
