PUTNAM — Day Kimball Healthcare (DKH) is accepting Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) donations from the community.
For more information on general guidance for those who wish to participate and help by sewing masks for donations, visit www.daykimball.org/DonatePPE.

Donated items must be in original, unopened packaging: disposable head covers; disposable gowns; disposable gloves; N95 respirator face masks; disposable face masks; face-shields/goggles; coveralls/scrubs; shoe-covers; disinfection wipes and liquids; and general-purpose hand cleaners and hand sanitizers.
In addition, DKH is now accepting homemade face masks. Before making masks, consider if you have been in contact with anyone suspected or confirmed to have COVID-19 in the past two weeks and if you have fever, cough or shortness of breath. If you are able to answer no to both questions, then you can proceed with making masks. For general info to www.daykimball.org/coronavirus.
Other DKH proactive measures taken include:  — Limited visitor access to the hospital and other care settings. March 31 the Main Entrance (entrance A at the back of the hospital) will be accessible only to DKH employees with badges. All other patients and visitors coming to the hospital will need to enter through the Emergency Department to access the hospital. The Main Entrance will remain open for patients to access a limited number of outpatient services, including: Day Kimball Medical Group OB/GYN, Day Kimball Medical Group Pediatrics, Northeastern Asthma & Allergy Associates, LLC. — All patients coming in for appointments will be screened.  — DKH has temporary visitation restrictions.  — The Plainfield Walk-in Clinic has suspended service. Other services available at the Day Kimball Healthcare Center in Plainfield will remain open, for now, including blood draw, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, OB/GYN, and pediatrics. — DKH At Home’s HomeMakers program can help seniors with shopping and errands, and is offering subsidized shopping services for seniors with financial hardships. HomeMakers is also offering care management services for seniors.
