FINANCIAL
ASSISTANCE
The Town of Putnam proposes to file an Application for Federal Financial Assistance with the USDA, Rural Development. This application for financial assistance will be for funding under the Rural Utilities Service, Part 1780, Water and Waste Loans and Grants (CFDA 10.760) and is anticipated to be submitted by Wednesday, January 15, 2014. The specific elements of the project include improvements to the Town’s drinking water system consisting of the replacement or relining and cleaning of water lines installed approximately from 1940 and earlier. It will also make improvements to the Richmond Hill water tank for structural rehabilitation and site improvements. The project is anticipated to cost $15,452,000.

Notice is hereby given that I failed to receive within the time limited in Sec.9-391 of the General Statutes the certifications of the names of any persons as party-endorsed candidates of the Republican Party for election as members of the town committee of said party in the Town of Putnam.
The number of town committee members to be elected, under party rules, is 25.
Notice is also hereby given that a primary will be held on March 4, 2014 if more than one petition containing at least seven candidacies (which is at least 25% of the number of town committee members to be elected by such party in the municipality) are filed in accordance with Sec. 9-382 to 9-450, inclusive, of the General Statutes by persons whose names appear upon the last completed enrollment list of said party, provided the total number of such candidacies exceeds the number to be elected to said town committee.
