WATERFORD — Charter Oak Federal Credit Union approved nine grant requests in its third quarter totaling $24,500.
This past quarter, nine local groups received funding through Charter Oak’s Community Giving Grants Program: Center for Hospice Care Southeast Connecticut; Children First Norwich/School Readiness Council; the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra, Inc.; LifeFAQs; Martin House, Inc.; Thames River Community Service, Inc.; United Cerebral Palsy of Eastern Connecticut; United Way of Southeastern Connecticut on behalf of Gemma E. Moran United Way/Labor Food Center; and the YMCA of Mystic, Inc.
Grant awards ranged from $1,000 to $5,000. Requests are accepted at any time, and are reviewed by Charter Oak’s Community Giving Committee quarterly. The next deadline is Jan. 1. Visit CharterOak.org/community for more information regarding Charter Oak’s Community Giving Program.
