Earn designation
WOODSTOCK — First Selectman, Allan D. Walke Jr., announced that Delia Fey, Town Planner and Zoning Enforcement Officer, and Tina Lajoie, Administrative Assistant to the Building Official, recently earned the designation of Certified Zoning Enforcement Official through the State of Connecticut Association of Zoning Enforcement Officials.
“We are extremely proud of Delia and Tina for successfully completing this rigorous program and being awarded the title of Certified Zoning Enforcement Official. The knowledge they have attained will further enhance the guidance and assistance they provide to the residents of the Town of Woodstock. Being able to offer a wide range of services is of the utmost importance to the Board of Selectmen.”

WILLIMANTIC — A 12-hour website development competition called the “Code-A-Thon” took place at Eastern Connecticut State University and Matthew Witkowski ’15, of N. Grosvenordale, who majors in Business Information Systems, was a member of the winning team.

WILLIMANTIC — Eastern Connecticut State University’s 125th Commencement took place May 12, 2015 and the following local students received diplomas: Kristin Collins of Putnam, received a Master of Science degree in Early Childhood Education; Nicholas Milano of Pomfret, received a Master of Science degree in Organizational Management; Karin Anderson of Woodstock, received a Master of Science degree in Reading/Language Arts; Shelbie Greene of Putnam, received a Master of Science degree in Secondary Education.

WILLIMANTIC — A number of Eastern Connecticut State University students were recently inducted into Eastern’s Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE) Computer Science Honor Society including: Matthew Witkowski ’15 of North Grosvenordale. He is a Business Information Systems major.
