Donation

The Pomfret Senior Association presented a $1,000 check to the Pomfret Congregational Church. Proceeds from a fall Spaghetti Dinner fund-raiser were presented to Reverend Thomas Crumb of the Pomfret Congregational Church for their re-building  fund.  The church, which was destroyed in December of 2013, is in the planning stages for rebuilding on the same site as the 150 year old church stood.  The Pomfret Senior Association has raised funds for several causes including improvements at the Pomfret Community/Senior Center.  The group, which has been in existence for more than 20 years, was instrumental in the development of a Senior Center in Pomfret.  Pomfret Senior Association President Gail McElroy presents the check to Pastor  Tom at a recent first Tuesday of the month.
