WILLIMANTIC — Eastern Connecticut State University recently released its Dean’s List for the spring 2015 semester: Evan Backus ’16 of Pomfret Center, business administration; Brett Knopf ’15 of Pomfret Center, accounting; Richard Pearson ’14 of Woodstock, accounting; Meena Roy ’15 of Danielson, English; Elina van den Berg ’15 of Dayville, general studies.

WILLIMANTIC — Michael Chapman, ’15 of Woodstock, a student at Eastern Connecticut State University recently traveled to San Salvador Island to study tropical biology. The trip focused on studying the history and development of the local fauna on the island as well as in the surrounding waters. The group’s research was based out of the Gerace Research Center, which occupies a former U.S. naval base in Grahams Harbor. He is a biology major.
