5K fund-raiser race
EASTFORD — At 10 a.m. Sept. 17 the 5th Annual 5K Race, known as the “We Never Stop Fighting in Loving Memory Marilyn T. Krom” 5K, will be held. It benefits cancer patient Howard Budd.
The race departs from the Eastford Town Office Building on Westford Road.
Winners receive medals. The Eastford races have raised nearly $20,000 for local families. Marilyn Krom was an RN for children’s camp at Nahaco, a school aide and friend to many; she died of uterine cancer in 2009.
Registration prior to Sept. 16 is $25; day-of-race fee is $30.
