NORWICH — CorePlus Federal Credit Union, headquartered in Norwich, appointed Credit Union Member Kenneth P. Levy, C.P.M. to its Supervisory Committee.
He has been director of Procurement and Contracts for more than 35 years, working for multinational firms headquartered in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Virginia and Europe. He has experience in the biopharma, insurance, logistics, defense contracting, and high tech manufacturing areas. Since retiring from Genzyme Corporation, a Sanofi Company, Ken has been an independent Contract Consultant specializing in contract drafting and negotiations.
He has a bachelor’s in physics from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and is a Lifetime Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.). Ken is on the board of Waterford Country School and serves as their treasurer and Chairman of the Finance Committee. He also is vice president of the board of his condominium association. He had previously served as president of ISM-CT (Institute for Supply Management) and Chairman of the Northeast Supply Management Group of ISM.
The Credit Union’s Supervisory Committee works to insure that internal controls are maintained to protect the Credit Union and its Members, and that the accounting records are promptly prepared to accurately reflect credit union operations. William Poirier of Pomfret Center is the chairman of the Supervisory Committee.
