NOTICE OF 

SPECIAL TOWN 

MEETING

January 17, 2016

The Electors and Citizens qualified to vote in Town  Meeting of the Town of Putnam, Connecticut, are hereby notified and warned that the Special Meeting of said Town  will  be held at The  Daniel S. Rovero Selectmen’s  Chambers,  Putnam  Town Hall, 126 Church Street, Putnam, Connecticut, on Tuesday, the 17th day of January, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. in the evening for the following purposes:

1. To choose a moderator for said meeting.

2. To  determine the wishes of those present and eligible to vote at Town

Meeting of the Town of Putnam upon the following resolution:

RESOLVED, that the discontinuance of Brookside Drive as a town road in the Town  of  Putnam, located adjacent to and easterly of  Route  44  (School  Street), pursuant to the discontinuance  by the Putnam Board of Selectmen and the recommendation  of the Town of Putnam Planning Commission, is hereby formally ratified and approved for its entire length of approximately .06 miles.

3. To determine  the wishes of those present and eligible to vote at Town

Meeting of the Town of Putnam upon the following resolution:

RESOLVED,  that   the  sale  of   39 Recreation Park Road,  said premises consisting of .93 acres be the same more or less, is hereby authorized  to be conveyed by quit claim deed without warranty and subject to such state of facts which may exist to Crystal M. Boj for a price of $5,000 dollars.

The Pomfret Planning & Zoning Commission will hold the following Public Hearings at their regular meeting on January 18, 2017, starting at 7:00 PM at the Old Town House:

 

1. M&E Transportation, LLC, 4 Nora Lane, proposed text amendment for Section 9.4 Special Permit Uses – add Section 9.4.17 Transportation Facility —  a facility that functions as a depot for truck, bus, or limousine services, which may include maintenance facilities, vehicle parking, and/or vehicle dispatch, but does not include distribution or warehousing of goods or products

A copy of this application is on file in the office of the Planning and Zoning Commission, 5 Haven Road Pomfret, Pomfret Center, Connecticut. The file is available for review during normal business hours.
