THOMPSON — Senior Anna Bagley of Charlton signed her National Letter of Intent to play soccer for Virginia Commonwealth University Nov. 14.
In her four years as a starter for Marianapolis, Bagley has accumulated 50 goals and 39 assists.
Bagley, a striker, decided to sign with VCU, “because the coaching staff treated me like they really cared about me and valued me as a player, not a name on a list of recruits.” She went on to say, “I also chose VCU because when I went on my visit, all of the girls on the team were super excited to be there and the atmosphere of the campus was exactly what I was looking for. I’m very excited to be a part of the VCU soccer family, meet new people, and bring my game to a new level.
“Anna is a master of the techniques of the game of soccer,” said Marianapolis girls’ varsity soccer head coach Esad Darman. “She has excellent touch and great control. She does impossible and unbelievable things with the ball. Anna is magic on the soccer field, a great leader and friend.”
