PUTNAM — King Cadillac GMC has officially kicked off its 2019 community involvement campaign presented by The Light Foundation, a nonprofit organized founded by former New England Patriot and three-time Super Bowl champion Matt Light. The campaign began in December of 2018 and will run until August of 2019.
In an effort to give back to surrounding communities, the King Cadillac team has committed to donating a portion of every vehicle sold at the dealership during these months to the Light Foundation. In addition, another local charity will also benefit, chosen by the Connecticut car dealer on a monthly rotation.
TEEG (Thompson Ecumenical Empowerment Group), a small grassroots non-profit social service agency in N. Grosvenordale, is the first local beneficiary of the campaign during the months of December and January. The agency works to provide local Connecticut towns with food security programs, senior services and other income qualified services among other things.
To sweeten the pot, King Cadillac is giving away $1,000 per month in prizes to its customers, totaling more than $6,000 in prizes throughout the year. Every patron who spends over $500 at the dealership will be entered into both the monthly drawing as well as the The Patriots Fan Tailgate & Game Package Grand Prize to be pulled in August.
January’s prize includes a $300 gift card for heating oil, a $200 gift card to Jessica Tuesday’s Restaurant and a $100 gift card to Thompson Motorsports Park in Thompson.
The grand package includes; 4 tickets to a New England Patriots game at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass., a Yeti cooler, a Weber tailgate grille, $250 gift card for food and beverages, a $250 gift card to the Patriots Pro Shop and signed Patriots gear.
