PUTNAM — Feb. 20 the Putnam Police Department served an arrest warrant on Putnam resident Sharod A. Pipkin after he was apprehended by Judicial Marshals while Pipkin appeared at Danielson Superior Court for a criminal court appearance.
According to Putnam Police Department Chief Christopher D. Ferace, the current arrest was the result of the continued investigation conducted by the Putnam and New Britain Police departments in regard to Pipkin allegedly assisting New Britain homicide suspect Benjamin Morales.
Morales is a fugitive is wanted for murder by the New Britain Police Department.
During the previous joint investigation police recovered a handgun that Pipkin allegedly had been in possession of illegally.
Pipkin, 29, 198 Park St., Putnam was charged with criminal possession of a firearm.
