WILLIMANTIC β€” Eastern Connecticut State University student Benjamin Rumrill ’19 of Pomfret Center, who majors in biology, presented his research project at the National Association of Biology Teachers conference in San Diego.
His project, titled β€œThe Effect of Microgravity on the Growth and Function of Neural Cells,” examines the effect of simulated space flight on brain cells and microgravity, which is low or very weak gravity, and how exposure to it can potentially cause neuron loss in the brain.
