Collections
The April 2019 billing of water and/or sewer taxes for the Town of Putnam WPCA is due and payable on April 1, 2019, with the Town Revenue Collector.
Payments made after May 1, 2019, are delinquent and will be subject to an interest charge for both water and sewer at 1.5 percent per month or $2.00 minimum whichever is higher, according to Connecticut State Statute SEC. 12-146.
Mail must be postmarked no later than May 1, 2019, to avoid interest charges.
Online payments can be made at the Town of Putnam website – www.putnamct.us after April 1, 2019.

Friday 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM

APRIL 08, 2019
The District Authority of the Putnam Special Services District will hold a Public Hearing in the Board of Education Conference Room, at the Putnam High School, 152 Woodstock Avenue, Putnam, CT. on Monday, April 08, 2019, at 7:00 P.M., in accordance with Chapter IX, Section 11 of the Putnam Town Charter.  Itemized estimates of the expenditures of the Putnam Special Services District for Fiscal Year 2019/2020 will be presented.  All Legal Voters and Citizens qualified to Vote in the Putnam Special Services District shall be heard in regard to any appropriation which they are desirous the District Authority should recommend or reject.

Town of Pomfret
The Town of Pomfret approved an “Ordinance Amending Conservation Commission - Terms” on March 28, 2019. The original ordinance “Repealing of Prior Ordinance and Establishing a Conservation Commission” was adopted at Special Town Meeting held January 1, 1999, Effective Date: January 30, 1999.  The “Ordinance Amending Conservation Commission Terms” shall become effective April 19, 2019 or fifteen (15) days after its publication in a newspaper having a general circulation in the Town of Pomfret.
In Summary the Ordinance changed the Conservation Commission total members and terms to read:  Article 1.  Establishment of Commission:  Pursuant to sections 7-131a, of the Connecticut General Statutes, (a) the Board of Selectmen shall establish the Conservation Commission with a total of six (6) members, and two (2) alternates appointed by the First Selectman, with three (3) members appointed to four (4) year terms and three (3)  members appointed for three (3) year terms.  A quorum of at least four (4) members must be present to hold a meeting.
